Privacy

Vizit is a visit tool that runs on your device. This page is the privacy policy to paste into Google Play. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and it does not describe your phone network or messaging apps.

No account

There is no sign-in. Vizit does not upload your contacts, location, notes, or recordings, and it does not sell data. Card payments are taken by Stripe.

What stays on this phone

Clients, the people you text, your name, message wording, the visit in progress, the visit log, settings, and a history of message attempts are stored in this browser’s local storage. A recent location fix may be kept for up to three minutes, or while a visit is running, so a follow-up text still has a position if GPS stalls. Erase it under More.

Location

Location is read when you prepare a text or start a visit. It is used on the phone to build a message. It is shared only if you press Send in your own messaging or share sheet, or if you open the map link yourself. Vizit does not silently transmit location.

Microphone

The microphone is used only while Vizit is open, and only when you start listening or press Record on a visit. A visit recording stays in this browser. Vizit does not upload it. Tell the other person you are recording. If the browser’s speech recognition is a cloud service — in Chrome, that is Google — short audio from a listening session may leave the device for transcription. A recording you start with Record is not sent for transcription. Leave both off if you do not want the microphone used.

Messages and calls

Vizit cannot send SMS by itself and cannot tell whether a message arrived. Call links hand a number to your phone. You place the call.

Not for secret tracking

Do not use Vizit to follow another person without their knowledge. A visit shows location on this phone only, for the person who started it.
